Install on macOS, Linux, and Windows
Install Mirr Code with the command for your operating system, then sign in.
Copy and run the command for your operating system. You need a terminal and an internet connection; Node.js and npm are not required. See Before you install for supported platforms.
macOS and Linux#
Run the official installer in your terminal.
curl -fsSL https://get.patty.io/mirr-code/latest/install.sh | sh
Check the downloaded version and installation path in the log. If the installer reports a PATH change, open a new terminal, then verify:
command -v mirr
mirr --version
mirr --help
command -v prints the executable path, --version prints a version beginning with mirr v…, and --help lists available commands. A path different from the installation log means another executable is taking precedence.
Windows#
Run this in PowerShell.
irm https://get.patty.io/mirr-code/latest/install.ps1 | iex
Open a new PowerShell window and verify:
Get-Command mirr
mirr --version
mirr --help
For work inside WSL, run the Linux installer in WSL separately from the Windows installation.
Sign in and start working#
After checking the installation, sign in with your Patty account.
mirr login
Follow the instructions to sign in through your browser, then return to the terminal. See Sign in to your account for the full steps.
Start Mirr from your project root.
cd my-project
mirr
