Sessions and recovery
Continue an earlier conversation or return to a saved point in your work.
Continue an earlier conversation#
A session contains a conversation and the work recorded in it. To continue your previous conversation when reopening Mirr Code, run:
mirr --continue
Use mirr --resume to choose another conversation. Inside Mirr Code, /resume opens the saved-conversation picker. Loading a conversation does not restore files to an earlier state.
Start a new conversation#
Enter /new when you change topics and no longer need the earlier conversation. Use /compact instead when continuing the same work with a summarized conversation.
Return to an earlier change#
A checkpoint is a saved point you can return to. Enter /rewind to see available checkpoints in the current conversation.
- Choose the point to return to.
- Choose conversation only, files only, or both.
- Read the restoration scope and warnings before proceeding. Use arrow keys and Enter to select, or Esc to cancel.
Mirr Code tells you when no checkpoint is available or some files cannot be restored. Check any files outside the restoration coverage separately.
What rewind does not undo#
Sent messages, published content, deployments, and database changes are not automatically reversed. Handle those changes in the relevant external service.
Checkpoints do not replace backups or version control. Before restoring, keep a separate copy of any changes made by another person or program that you need to preserve.
