Update and uninstall
Update Mirr Code or remove it from your computer.
Update#
Exit Mirr Code, then run:
mirr upgrade
mirr --version
An available update is downloaded and installed. If you already have the current version, the command tells you. Use mirr upgrade --check to check without installing.
If the download fails, keep the error text and see Installation and sign-in problems. You do not need to reinstall through npm.
Before uninstalling#
Close Mirr Code. To sign out on this computer, run mirr logout before removing the executable. Uninstalling does not delete your Patty account or cancel a subscription.
The commands below remove only the executable at its default location. If you chose another location, use the path from your installation log. Do not delete your project or the entire settings folder.
macOS and Linux#
command -v mirr
rm "$HOME/.local/bin/mirr"
Windows#
Run in PowerShell:
Get-Command mirr
Remove-Item -LiteralPath "$env:USERPROFILE\.local\bin\mirr.exe"
If Windows reports that the executable is in use, close every running Mirr Code instance and try again.
After uninstalling#
Open a new terminal. If mirr --version reports that the command cannot be found, the executable has been removed. If it still runs, use the path-checking command above to find another installation.
This does not remove project files or separately stored settings and conversation history. An installation inside WSL must be removed inside WSL separately.
